Alexis Lancien is an amateur photographer based in Paris, working with both DSLR and film. His work revolves around long journeys and small escapes into nature, captured through raw, barely retouched images. Inspired by a 2023 trip to Namibia, he composes a series of images that — through the play of shadows, colours and contrasts — pay tribute to the immensity of the deserts, the poetry of dead trees, the magic of hot-air balloons. A sincere and contemplative visual world, celebrating the beauty of nature.
