Marie Bodin is a self-taught painter based in Paris. Her essentially figurative work centres on contemporary still lifes bathed in pastel colours. Drawing on everyday life and simple pleasures, she composes joyful, poetic paintings celebrating the beauty of everyday objects, the conviviality of meals and the richness of colour. Strongly influenced by Pop Art and notably by David Hockney, she develops a vibrant, optimistic visual world, inviting the viewer to a delicate and indulgent contemplation.
